Senior HVAC Project Manager

Reports To:  Branch or Division Manager

Status:  Exempt

Location:  Kenosha, WI

Job Description:

The Senior HVAC Project Manager is responsible for overall management of existing projects and development of new business leads in the construction, renovation or maintenance fields. We expect the successful candidate to be a collaborative member of the Lee team and to promote the full suite of Lee services.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all company, customer and project policies, procedures, standards and objectives
  • Ensure project logs and documentation files are maintained
  • Assist with training and implementation of safety procedures
  • Oversee total construction effort to ensure project proceeds according to design, budget and schedule. Includes heavy client contact.
  • Plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned projects
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with client and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities
  • Represent the company in project meetings
  • Accountable for making decisions and recommendations which can greatly affect profitability of assigned area
  • Authorize all project transactions, billings, subcontractor requisitions, material purchases, change requests, etc.
  • Provide direction to planning, scheduling and engineering functions as required; mentor APMs
  • Maintain high level of client service and quality upon which our business has been built
  • Complete any additional assignments per supervisor’s direction

Specific Requirements:

  • Prior experience managing large HVAC intensive projects
  • 10 years progressive trade experience – including three years experience in construction leadership

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering and at least five years experience in construction leadership
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Able to remain in a stationary position 50% or more of the time

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Up to date on corporate/ industry practices and standards
  • Experience with construction projects from conception through completion
  • LEED AP certification(s) preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and apply effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
  • Above-average math skills and ability to read blueprints/drawings
  • Good interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to “think outside the box” and encourage creative thinking in others
  • Significant independent judgment skills; proven track record of accountability and increased responsibilities
  • Motivated, displays leadership skills and a positive attitude
  • Interested in personal and professional growth
  • Understands the importance of teamwork to achieve company goals
